In this season, the show went back to airing one new episode a week, but stayed in the hour-length format, filling up the second half-hour with episodes from previous seasons and some of the prime-time specials from the 1980s. This entire season, along with the second half of season 6, is available on Garfield and Friends: Volume 5 DVD set . Also worth no ting is that here, a new theme song wa s added that was written by J.R. J ohnston and Neil Pa nton. The them e was sung by J.R . Johnston. This th eme song was no t shown inte rnationally, a nd as a res ult, it does not appear on the DVDs (althou gh Garfield& amp;#39;s quota tions are kept intact). T his new introd uction sequenc e used most cl ips from Season s 5-7 and a few fr om the first t wo seasons, as well as Gar field in Pa radise a nd Garfield& ;#39;s Felin e Fantasies. T he episodes stopped using a few seconds of the theme playin g in the episode title cards after season seven' s fourth epis ode; mus ic from the episodes were used i n the titl e cards until the show end ed, even t hough sea son six used music from so me of their ep isodes.详情
