In this season, the show went back to airing one new episode a week, but stayed in the hour-length format, filling up the second half-hour with episodes from previous seasons and some of the prime-time specials from the 1980s. This entire season, along with the second half of season 6, is available on Garfield and Friends: Volume 5 DVD s et. Also wor th noting is that h ere, a new theme song was ad ded that was written by J.R. Johnston and Neil P anton. The them e was sung by J.R. Johns ton. This t heme so ng was not s hown int ernation ally, a nd as a result, it does no t appear on the DVDs (alt hough Garf ield' s quotations a re kept in tact). This new introdu ction se quence used most c lips fr om Seasons 5-7 and a f ew from the fi rst two seasons , as well as Garfield in Par adise and G arfield&am p;#39;s Fe line Fan tasies. Th e episode s stopped using a few sec onds of the t heme play ing in t he episod e title c ards afte r season seven 's fourth ep isode; mu sic from th e episodes were used in t he title cards until the show end ed, even th ough seaso n six us ed music f rom some of their episode s.详情
