In this season, the show went back to airing one new episode a week, but stayed in the hour-length format, filling up the second half-hour with episodes from previous seasons and some of the prime-time specials from the 1980s. This entire season, along with the second half of season 6, is available on Garfield and Friends: Volume 5 DVD set. Also wor th noting is tha t here, a ne w theme song was added that was written by J.R. Jo hnston and Neil Pa nton. The th eme was sung by J.R. Johnston. This theme so ng was not s hown interna tionally, a nd as a resul t, it does not appear on the DVDs (although Gar field's quotations are kept intac t). This new intro duction sequence used most clips f rom Seasons 5 -7 and a few from the firs t two sea sons, as wel l as Ga rfield in Paradis e and Garfi eld's Feline Fantasies. Th e episodes stopped us ing a few s econds of the t heme playing in the episod e title cards after seaso n seven&#39 ;s fourth ep isode; music from the epis odes were u sed in t he title c ards until th e show ended, even though season s ix used mu sic from some of their episodes .详情
