In this season, the show went back to airing one new episode a week, but stayed in the hour-length format, filling up the second half-hour with episodes from previous seasons and some of the prime-time specials from the 1980s. This entire season, along with the second half of season 6, is available on Garfield and Friends: Volume 5 DVD set . Also worth n oting is th at here, a new theme song wa s added that w as written by J.R. John ston and Neil Panton. The th eme was sung by J.R . Johnston. This theme song was not shown intern ationally , and a s a result, it does not appear on the DVDs (alt hough Garfield& amp;#39;s quota tions are kept intact). This new intr oduction seq uence used mos t clips fro m Seasons 5- 7 and a f ew from the fir st two se asons, as well as Garfi eld in Par adise and Garf ield& ;#39;s Feline F antasie s. The episode s stopped usi ng a few second s of the the me playing in t he episode title car ds after seas on seven&# 39;s fourth episode; music from the ep isodes were used in th e title cards until the s how ended, e ven though season six used music fro m some of their e pisodes .详情
