In this season, the show went back to airing one new episode a week, but stayed in the hour-length format, filling up the second half-hour with episodes from previous seasons and some of the prime-time specials from the 1980s. This entire season, along with the second half of season 6, is available on Garfield and Friends: Volume 5 DVD set. Al so worth noti ng is that h ere, a new theme song was added that was writ ten by J.R. Jo hnston an d Neil P anton. The theme w as sung b y J.R. Jo hnston. This theme son g was not shown inter nationally, and as a resu lt, it does not app ear on the D VDs (al though Ga rfield& ;#39;s quotati ons are kept in tact). T his new introduct ion sequenc e used mos t clips from Seasons 5 -7 and a few from the first t wo seaso ns, as well a s Garfield in Paradi se and G arfield& ;#39;s Feline Fantasies. The episodes s topped using a few s econds of t he theme pl aying in the e pisode tit le cards after season s even&# 39;s four th episode; music from the episodes were used in t he title car ds until the sh ow ended, even tho ugh season six used musi c from some of their epi sodes.详情
