In this season, the show went back to airing one new episode a week, but stayed in the hour-length format, filling up the second half-hour with episodes from previous seasons and some of the prime-time specials from the 1980s. This entire season, along with the second half of season 6, is available on Garfield and Friends: Volume 5 DVD set. Also w orth noting is that here, a new theme song was added that was written b y J.R. J ohnston an d Neil Pant on. The them e was sung by J.R. John ston. This them e song wa s not shown int ernationa lly, an d as a r esult, it d oes not appea r on the DVDs (al though Garfield &#3 9;s quotations are kept inta ct). This new introd uction sequ ence used most clips f rom Seasons 5- 7 and a f ew from th e first two se asons, a s well a s Garfield in Paradi se and Garfi eld& #39;s Feline Fa ntasies. The e pisodes stopped usi ng a few seco nds of the theme play ing in the episode title c ards after season seven&am p;#39;s fou rth episod e; music from t he episode s were use d in the tit le card s until the sho w ended , even though season six used music from som e of thei r episodes.详情
