In this season, the show went back to airing one new episode a week, but stayed in the hour-length format, filling up the second half-hour with episodes from previous seasons and some of the prime-time specials from the 1980s. This entire season, along with the second half of season 6, is available on Garfield and Friends: Volume 5 DV D set. A lso wor th noting is th at here, a new theme s ong was added th at was w ritten by J.R . Johnston and Neil Pant on. The theme was sung by J.R. Johns ton. This theme song was not shown inter nationally, a nd as a result , it does not appear on the D VDs (altho ugh Gar field& #39;s quo tations are kept intact). This new introductio n sequen ce used mos t clips from Seasons 5-7 and a few from the first two s easons, as w ell as Gar field in P aradise and G arfield&# 39;s Fe line Fanta sies. The epis odes stopped using a few s econds of the t heme playin g in the episo de title cards after season seven& #39;s f ourth e pisode; mu sic from the episodes were used i n the title c ards until th e show ended, even though s eason si x used music from some o f their episode s.详情
