This is the first season si nce season 1 to not begin wit h men on the blue team an d women on the red team. It is also the th ird of the last four sea sons to feat ure a chef eliminated dur ing service, the fir st season since season 13 t hat no chef fr om the winnin g team was e liminated, an d the fi rst season s ince season 1 2 where two c hefs quit. T his is also the f irst sea son to have a chef quit b efore the finals.
