Can I Get a W itness? tells the story of a moth er and daught er in a n ear-futu re world w here huge s acrifices a re made to maintain l ife on Earth . With its res ources swallo wed by e -waste and overpopul ation, the world i s experienc ing an anth ropogenic c ollapse. To ma nage, techno logical advances a re shunned. Nobody has e lectricit y and only pe ople with exc eptions are permitted cars. Most import antly, there is also a collectiv e agreement tha t nobody is allowed t o live beyo nd the age o f 50. Oh’s Ellie lives w ith her te enage daughter Kiah (Ke ira Jang), wh o is starting her firs t day as a Documenter, an important r ole in t his new wo rld order.
