Ricardo decid es to tr avel overl and to India, as he used to do in the o ld days , when he brought hi ppies to the E ast with hi s van, c rossing Eur ope, Turkey, Iran and Pa kistan. But the sit uation is ve ry different no w. Ricar do has be en in a wh eelchair for the last ten y ears, s uffering from a d egenerative disease now in it s final st age. He wants to die on the ba nks of the G anges River a nd meet Gadhali again. In this journey, he is accompa nied by D ana, his Ruma nian housekeep er. Lif e owes something to these two lonely beings.
