The film (and the acting) is superbly done, but the story is intense. I like it for its ' dark, thick, &a mp;quot;Cul du Sac&quo t; psycholog y but it is c ertainly n ot for everyone for that ve ry reason. Set in isol ated, rural France ma kes this film a ll the mo re desp erate. The fi lm is about strenuous relationship s, loyalty - and despair. It is about a ccepting hard ships wit hout rea lly underst anding them. It is a lso about p ity and how it is to be dist inguishe d from lo ve and adm iration. I& #39;ve s een many French films with the same intensi ty and I&a mp;#39;m gue ssing that it will be most ly the Fr ench who w ill enjoy thi s film. T he acting is superb in this fil m – if you're in the rig ht state o f mind and don& amp;#39;t l oose your conce ntration. J ean-François Stevenin ALWAYS impres ses me. He doe sn&# 39;t disapp oint me h ere either. For general aud iences, however, I&#39 ;d recommend h is perfo rmance in & quot;Deux L ions au Soleil " whic h is much more easi ly palatab le than &qu ot;Peux de Vaches& ;quot;. Despite the fact tha t I like &a mp;quot ;Peux de Vache s", I have dif ficulties recomme nding it to a nyone other than French aud iences and perha ps someone wi th a morose de meanor.详情
