Night F alls in Indi a tells the story of Ricard o (Juan Di ego) and Dana (Clara Voda). R icardo d ecides to travel overla nd to I ndia, as he us ed to do in th e old days , when he brought hippie s to the East with hi s van, c rossing Europe, Turkey, Iran and Pak istan. Bu t the situatio n is very di fferent n ow. Ricard o has be en in a wheelchair for the last ten y ears, su ffering from a degenerative disease now in its final s tage. He wa nts to die on the banks o f the Ga nges River a nd meet G adhali agai n. In this j ourney, he is accompanied by Dana, h is Ruman ian housekeepe r.
